ABOUT US
about FCC(FAITH CONTENDERS CHURCH)
Faith Contenders Church (FCC) is the local church expression of FCM. Launched in December 2024 with a mandate to raise strong believers, FCC is a welcoming home where salvation through faith in Christ Jesus is proclaimed, believers are baptized in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues, and the undiluted Word of Faith is taught with boldness—all to equip you to live victoriously.
We are a vibrant, multigenerational church where children, youth, young families, and grandparents serve Jesus and grow in faith together. This includes our thriving children’s ministry, where our youngest members are lovingly taught the Word of God to build their own strong foundation in Christ.
Our Mission
WHAT WE BELIEVE
1. The Bible
The Bible is the inspired Word of God. Holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. We accept the Bible – Old and New Testament as our infallible guide in matters pertaining to God, life, conduct and doctrine.
2. The Godhead
We believe that almighty God is One who manifests Himself in three Persons – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, being co-equal. God the Father is greater than all; the Sender of the Word, the Begetter and the giver of the Holy Spirit. The Son is the Word of God, flesh-covered, the Begotten who existed with the Father from the beginning, through whom all things were made. The Holy Spirit proceeds forth from both the Father and the Son and is eternal – a divine personality.
3.Man, His Fall, and Redemption
God created man in His image and after His likeness. Through disobedience, man fell and came short of the glory of God. He died spiritually. Man’s first step toward salvation is godly sorrow that worketh repentance. The New Birth is necessary to all men, and when experienced, produces eternal life – the nature of sin being removed and a new creation in Christ restored.
4.Eternal Life and The New Birth
Except a man be born again, he can not see the kingdom of God. Every human being after the age of accountability must believe that Jesus is the Son of God who came to the earth, lived a sinless life, was crucified, died and buried and on the third day, He resurrected from the dead and today sits at the right hand of God in glory. When a person on earth accepts Him as Lord and Saviour, they receive the new birth and become a child of God by the grace of Jesus through faith.
5.Water Baptism
Baptism in water is by immersion, is a direct commandment of our Lord, and is for believers only. It symbolizes the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. The ordinance is a symbol of the Christian’s identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection.
6. Baptism in the Holy Spirit
The Baptism in the Holy Spirit and fire is a gift from God as promised by the Lord Jesus Christ to all believers in this dispensation and is received subsequent to the New Birth. This experience is accompanied by the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Holy Spirit Himself gives utterance. It is also the gateway to the manifestation of the gifts of the Spirit.
7. Jesus Will Return
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
8. Hell and Eternal Retribution
The one who physically dies in his sins without accepting Christ is hopelessly and eternally lost in the lake of fire and, therefore, has no further opportunity of hearing the Gospel or repenting. The lake of fire is literal. The terms “eternal” and “everlasting,” used in describing the duration of the punishment of the damned in the lake of fire, carry the same thought and meaning of endless existence as used in denoting the duration of joy and ecstasy of saints in the Presence of God.
9.Holiness/Sanctification
The Bible teaches that without holiness no man can see the Lord. We believe in the Doctrine of Sanctification as a definite, yet progressive work of grace, commencing at the time of regeneration and continuing until the consummation of salvation at Christ’s return. A believer must live a holy life, put their flesh under and abstain from all appearances of evil.
10. Divine Healing
We believe in divine healing for the physical ills of the human body and is brought about by the power of God through the prayer of faith, and by the laying on of hands. It is provided for in the atonement of Christ and is the privilege of every member of the Church today (James 5:14-15; Mark 16:18; Isa.
